Who we are

John Duffield, founder of Jupiter Asset Management and New Star Asset Management, two of the best known UK retail asset management groups of recent decades, established Brompton in 2009. The firm is an award-winning, specialist multi-asset investment manager. It is headed by John and senior colleagues from Jupiter and New Star.

Brompton’s strategic ambition is to partner with a select number of high-quality financial advisory businesses, providing the support their scale merits. The firm aims to provide high-quality and dedicated multi-asset investment management services to these businesses, fulfilling the needs of their clients, senior managers and advisory professionals.

We seek to develop long-term investment relationships in which we support advisory business to realise their potential by enhancing the investment propositions they offer their clients. We do not and will not provide financial advice, aiming to avoid conflicts of interest with our advisory and wealth management partners.

Brompton’s specialised multi-asset investment services include:

• managing an advisory business’s own collective fund range
• managing model portfolios for an advisor; and
• providing an advisor with its own share class in Brompton’s OEIC

Brompton’s management team has been involved in the creation and management of more than 100 collective investment funds over the last three decades. With more than three decades’ experience in financial services, Jon Hodesdon is Brompton’s head of multi-asset sales.
